Marketing can make or break a business and the last thing any owner wants is to sink their company, but what many do not know are the mistakes that can lead to the end of a business.
When starting up a business or reviewing marketing strategies, it is important to be aware of what can go wrong so that it does not hurt instead of encourage the business.

A marketing plan should be created with clear goals and not only focus on returning visitors, but also on any new potential customers as well.
Business owners should also be aware of any reviews that are placed online by conducting consistent searches for the business and responding to any negative feedback that may occur.
Several businesses will either delete the feedback or ignore it.
A good business will use this negativity to expand on it by working to resolve the issues, which will demonstrate the company’s excellent customer service commitment.
Website speed can also be a marketing mistake that businesses make.
It will turn customers away, so it is important to send any reports of a slow website to a developer or to the website owner to fix as quickly as possible.

Marketing is a huge part of owning a business and while it has its advantages, it can also be a disadvantage if businesses fall prey to marketing mistakes.
These mistakes can include not setting clear marketing goals, focusing only on returning visitors, ignoring or not responding to negative feedback, or having a slow website.

Most business owners do not intentionally make these mistakes, but just the same, it is far better to be informed about these mistakes than to learn on the go to avoid them.

The 7 Marketing Mistakes That Can Hurt Your Business

1. Not understanding your customers needs

Do you really know what your potential customers need and want? Do you understand their challenges and can clearly describe how you are the best person to help them? Before you create your marketing plan, you need to define the characteristics of your ideal client, what they desperately need that you can fill and then provide the solution better than anyone else. The more you know about your customers and what keeps them up at night, the more effective your marketing efforts will be. Study your best customers and why they chose your business. Get to know your ideal client intimately so you can produce the results they are looking for.

2. Not staying true to your brand

Your brand is the promise you make to your customers and customers know immediately when there is a disconnect between what you have promised and what they receive. If your marketing activities deviate from the voice and reputation your brand has already established, you run the risk of confusing, disappointing or angering your customers and prospects. Ensure that all of your marketing stays true to your message and the promise of your brand.

3. Not adhering to email marketing best practices

How many unsolicited email newsletters do you get? When I get a real estate agent’s newsletter from Austin, Texas, I know I was added manually! The worse thing you can do to your brand’s reputation is to send unwanted emails “just because you met them at a networking event”.
One of the most powerful resources for marketing your business is your in-house email list full of customers and prospects that are interested in what you have. Use a reputable email service provider (MailChimp, Constant Contact, aWeber, etc) to build your list. Then use email marketing to keep you in touch with your prospects and customers. Ensure you understand email best practices and avoid critical mistakes that can get your small business blacklisted.

4. Believing in and hiring the SEO “expert” that will get your business on page 1 of Google

There’s no magic bullet. There’s no expert that can guarantee first page results. If it sounds too good to be true, most likely it is. Don’t be the victim of SEO and digital marketing scams that prey on small business owners.
Find someone you can trust and can educate you on what will work for your business. It takes time for your business to appear in the search engine results, but be patient and persistent. Implementing a solid content marketing and SEO strategy will have the greatest impact on your business.

5. Using your business name or having no picture of you in your social media personal profiles

People want to connect with you, the person, not your business. If you want to connect with me, please create personal profiles with your name and picture. I want to see who you are, understand what we may have in common and begin to build the “know, like and trust” relationship with you.
In addition to being frustrating, creating personal profiles with your business name and logo violate the terms of service across the board. Facebook has specific terms regarding personal profiles. LinkedIn specifically states to “Use your real name on your profile” and don’t “Upload a profile image that is not your likeness or a head-shot photo. Google+ has a specific policy for Profile Names.
Promote your business using Facebook Business Pages, Google+ Business Pages and LinkedIn Company Pages. They are designed to promote your products and services and allow those interested in your business, but maybe not you personally, to follow you.

6. Not seeking professional help when creating your brand identity

I’m all for small business owners being in control of their marketing efforts but when it comes to laying the foundation for a consistent online brand, you may want to think twice about creating your own brand, website or social media strategy without professional help.
It is far more cost-effective to create your brand identity right the first time and not waste time creating visibility only to have to start over because your brand isn’t working. Hiring professionals for those areas that require a unique skill – design, development and user experience – can help you get it right the first time. READ MORE

7. Believing that marketing is an expense, not an investment

If you have the mindset that everything you do in marketing is an expense, ready to cut when things aren’t working just right, then you are setting your business up to fail. Marketing is a process that requires a regular, consistent investment to increase your visibility and demonstrate your expertise. If you stop marketing to cut costs, your marketing efforts, and ultimately your business, will fail.
There are other marketing mistakes that occur within a particular marketing activity, such as poor landing pages, not using effective calls to action or lousy headlines, but these 10 mistakes can take your business out of the competition.

3 Step when you don't know What do you do when you can't pay your bills?

What to Do When You Can't Make the Minimum Payments

Step #1: Lighten the Load

Your first goal is to get and stay current on all of your bills. That means you need some extra cash—and fast! Sell that expensive car and get a cheap-but-reliable older model.Make money online  stuff envelops , writing jobs there are millions of work from home job and they are legit great for fast cash. Get  tips here

Step #2: Use the Pro Rata Plan

The next step is to set up a pro rata plan for paying your bills. Pro rata means "fair share." You give each of your creditors their fair share of the money you have left after you’ve paid for the essentials. Here’s an example of how that might work:

Step #3: Send Payments With a Letter

You’re almost done. Make copies of your math, including your income, expenses, disposable income, and the calculations you made to give every creditor their fair share. Include this letter with every bill, every month.
Your creditors won’t like getting less than the minimum payment, but if you keep sending checks every month, they’ll probably keep cashing them. You’ll still get phone calls and people will still try to bully you into paying more, but don’t let that rattle you so much that you agree to some stupid arrangement you can’t afford. And never, ever give a creditor access to your bank account for automatic withdrawal every month. They’ll clean you out—even if they say they won’t. Problem not solved.

Now What?

Remember, the pro rata plan is only a short-term solution. It just gives you enough breathing room to make long-term changes for the better. Get a second job until you’re caught up and current with your bills. Consider downsizing your home so you can make more manageable payments. Switch your cell phone plan to a pay-as-you-go service—and use your phone only for emergencies. Get a roommate and share expenses. You have options!
Most importantly, you must learn to hate debt. Get mad at it. Attack it full-force. It’s not your friend. If you don’t change your behavior and your attitude, you’ll be right back where you started—in a hole. You don’t ever want to go there again, so do whatever it takes to say goodbye to debt for good!
Grow your own business
It might seem overwhelming in the moment, but stick to it! Imagine how amazing it will be to get on the other side of this mess. You can achieve financial peace, one baby step at a time.

3 Principles of Success to inspire you to want to take action and master your online business

3 Principles of Success to inspire action
·
Inspire Teamwork There is no record of any great contribution to civilization without the cooperation of others. Enthusiasm is contagious and teamwork is the inevitable result. A good football team relies more on harmonious coordination of effort than individual skill. Most people will respond more freely to a request than they will to an order. Helping others solve their problems will help you solve your own.
Learn From Adversity and Defeat Everyone faces defeat. It may be a stepping-stone or a stumbling block, depending on the mental attitude with which it is faced. Failure and pain are one language through which nature speaks to every living creature. You are never a failure until you accept defeat as permanent and quit trying. Edison failed 10,000 times before perfecting the electric light bulb. Don't worry if you fail once. Every adversity, every failure, and every unpleasant experience carries with it the seed of an equivalent benefit which may prove to be a blessing in disguise.

Cultivate Creative Vision Creative imagination has its base in the subconscious and is the medium through which you recognize new ideas and newly learned facts. Synthetic imagination springs from experience and reason; creative imagination springs from your commitment to your definite purpose. Imagination recognizes limitations. Creative vision sees no limitations. Your imaginative faculty will become weak through inaction. It can be revived through use. The man who dipped a chunk of ice cream in chocolate and called it "Eskimo Pie" made a fortune for the five seconds of imagination it took to create the idea!

Are you a new online business owner or are season ? Are you struggling or a have you become frustrate?

Below just may be your solution.
The art of  selling online to people you don't  is really not that hard just have to master a few skill, to make money . learn how to get more sale
Watch this video ...

10 tips for mastering the art of selling

Below, Alter lists 10 tips that can help any techie transition into sales:
1. Learn to be comfortable interacting with others and try to develop a comfort level in talking with people you have never met. Joining a couple of social groups such as Toastmasters International that assist all types of professionals in public/group speaking can help.

2. Consider taking a sales course at a nearby college, entrepreneurial center, or chamber of commerce.
3. Develop a strong level of self-confidence in your ability to speak effectively and sincerely about your product or service. Believe that if you convince prospects to become your customers they will be better off because of what you sold them.

4. Seek mentors who have been successful in sales or sales management. Use them to bounce ideas off or and share your enthusiasm for being in sales. In the classic sales manual Think and Grow Rich, Napoleon Hill advocates the use of a mastermind group. This type of support can be wonderful in an advisory capacity. Think and Grow Rich is one of the most successful motivational business books ever written.
5. Remember: Everyone is a salesperson to some extent and nothing happens in any company -- or any relationship -- until something is sold. If you are married, you "sold" your wife on marrying you. Competent teachers are salespeople too. They're selling ideas and concepts to motivate students.
6. Be able to convince your boss (or a senior sales manager in your company) that you are confident in your ability to sell and motivate others.
7. Start by asking your manager if you can assist in a "sales support" role so you can observe how a sales professional handles preparations and objections.

8. Learn to become a good listener -- if you are not already -- and remember that successful sales professionals cannot sell anything if they don't listen to and understand the needs of their buyers.
9. Consider the possibility that you may be more qualified than you realize. Technical managers, for example, have sales skills because they are responsible for motivating others, getting projects approved, and selling management on larger budgets or additional tools, to name a few.
10. Find out who your competitors are and examine the merits and pitfalls of their products. You will be selling against them.
